Misfits Sweeps Two Rounds in 14-6W; Finally Climbs Into The Light!
Misfits has finally emerged into daylight after cellar-dwelling for quite some time. In last week’s match against A Team, they swept two rounds which gave them eight of the ten points needed for a win, and they split the remaining three rounds to wrap it up 14-6! Frank Mercurio and Felix Nunez led their shooting with four apiece, followed by Ramon Salas who added three. Paul Lemaire and Jack Burkhardt led for A Team with two apiece, while Tim Yip and Steve Notini split two that included Tim’s third runout. As Misfits faces off with The Rat Pack this week, A Team racks up opposite Movin Up.
Movin Up Jumped Into Second Place with Early, Fourth Round Match Win!
Movin Up and Breaking Bad split the first two rounds of their match, so heading into the middle round so it was tied 4-4, and that’s when the momentum settled in favor of Movin Up. They scored six of the next eight points to take the match W by the time they got to the hill, and added two more in the final round for their 12-8 victory. Dave Savoy posted his first 5-pointer this season, followed by Dennis Berkza and Larry Shower who split four points. Steve Intonti and Sam Phillips topped the charts for Breaking Bad with three each, and Neil Hurley added two. Movin Up would love to start a win streak this week with a W against A Team, while Breaking Bad faces Spartans, who’ll be looking for a W after dropping into 3rd place this week.
Ryall Pulls Ahead of 5 Game Wins Record with 4; Leads The Rat Pack to 13-7W!
The first three rounds in The Rat Pack versus Spartans went uneventfully enough with The Rats having a 7-5 advantage as they got to round 4. They went on to sweep the fourth, and added another two in the final round to wrap it up at 13-7. Dave Ryall took his fourth 5-game win which puts him in the lead, followed by Jacob Hirschhaut who tapped in three. Spartans’ lead shooter was Larry Zwicker, who took four Ws, while Dana Joly added two. This week, it’s The Rat Pack vs Misfits which means a faceoff between the league’s top two shooters, while Spartans matches up with Breaking Bad.
