Savoy Takes Four To Lead Movin Up to Close 11-9 Win; Becomes #2 Shooter !
Movin Up came out strong with a 3-1 first round, but Breaking Bad answered with a 3-1 second round to tie it up heading into the mid-way point in their match. Again, Movin Up delivered a 3-1 blow in the third that carried them through to the W since they split the last two rounds 4-4. Dave Savoy had an outstanding night taking four points in the #1 spot which moves him into the #2-ranked player this week. Dennis Berkza posted 3-point
assist. Sam Phillips and Steve Intonti were the top scorers for Breaking Bad with three points apiece followed by Neil Hurley who took two.
Nunez Takes Four Points To Lead Misfits To A 12-8 Victory!
The match between Misfits and The Bee Team began uneventfully enough with a 2-2 tie coming out of the first round, but then came a disturbance in the bees universe. Misfits took Ws for six of the next eight games, and went up 8-4. The Bees picked up three points in the fourth round to close the gap to 9-7, but Misfits came back with a 3-1 final round to take the win 12-8. Felix Nunez led for Misfits with four points followed by Frank Mercurio and Jerry Carrigg who split six. Paul Lemaire topped the scoring for The Bees with three points while Tim Yip and Pete Copland split four.
Zwicker Leads Spartans Out Of The Cellar With W Against #1 Team !
In addition to leading Spartans to a team win, Larry Zwicker’s 4-pointer in the #1 spot also moved him a bit closer to a spot in the top five. The Rat Pack kicked off their match with a 3-1 first round, and Spartans rebounded with a 3-1 second round to tie it up. They split the next two rounds 4-4 so that made it 8-8 on the hill. In a surprising turn of events, Spartans swept the final round for their 12-8 win, which moves them out of the cellar and back into the light. Denis Bonaccolta and Mike Notini posted 3-point assists. Jason Doucette led for The Rat Pack with three while John Silvestro and Jacob Hirschhaut split four.
